They've crashed APEC, been poached by more than 15 countries worldwide, received court injunctions for Anna Coren gags and received record ratings. What more is there for the Chaser lads to do than take their show out to live, paying audiences?
"It's really generally unintentionally been a very strange year," says the team's Craig Reucassel. "But it's been a fun ride," adds Julian Morrow.
Wondering whether Today Tonight is right about their show being a "waste of taxpayers money" or not is no concern for the boys and it is certainly not the reason they are going to be touring a live show for the first half of 2008. They are tired and love the appeal of having just the one show, with a little bit of daily news thrown in here and there.
The Chaser's Age of Terror Variety Hour will be worth a ticket, with sketches, songs, presentations and interactive audience segments. Watch out if you hate being singled out: the boys have a nose for who you are! They plan to wreak havoc from Sydney to Perth, stopping only to fight court injunctions. The whole team will tour with the exception of Chris Taylor, who is still dodging attacks from Irwin family fans. For more information go to theChasers Age of Terror Variety Hour website .
