Editorial Review
If you've been dragging yourself along Rundle Street in search of the latest bargains, then Cafe Buongiorno is a great place to rest your weary legs. Serving breakfast (all day), lunch and dinner seven days, the cafe occupies a huge space and still manages to fill up. Set on two levels, it hash seating under umbrellas on the footpath outside, while the interior, with its deep grain wooden floorboards, tables and chairs, is inviting and homely much like the food you'll find in this classic Italian family restaurant. As is typical of Italian restaurants, the menu is extensive and filled with all your favourites. There is an assortment of salads, soups, focaccias, risottos, pizzas and pastas along with a selection of veal, chicken and steak dishes. Try the scallopini fungi (pan-fried veal cooked until tender and served with white cream and local mushrooms) or the pizza Buongiorno (a delicious combination of ham, salami, mushroom, capsicum and olives). Choose your dessert or favourite flavour of gelato from the mouthwatering display cabinets that line the side wall. You'll be full of beans and ready to hit the shops again in no time.
